OUR MISSION
Pillar of Truth Pentecostal Church endeavors to bring
the true gospel to all of Long Island by means of Personal Evangelism,
Evangelistic Apostolic Newspapers, Book Lending Ministry, Home Bible
Studies, Television Ministry and by all means possible as the Lord
directs. We shall aggressively promulgate the true gospel to all professing
Christian denominations, including Baptist and various Pentecostal
groups who have not fully obeyed the faith once delivered unto the
saints. We believe that true Christian Baptism into the name of Jesus
Christ and the Infilling of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign
of tongues are not optional but are essentials of the faith.
In order to obey the Great Commission we will aggressively
seek to evanglize Trinitarians to the truth of the Oneness of God,
Jesus Name Baptism, and the Infilling of the Holy Ghost. The Great
Commission commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ includes baptism in
Jesus Name and the promise of the power of the Spirit. Wherefore,
all those who have not been baptized in Jesus Name or who have not
received the gift of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of tongues
are included as part of our evangelistic field of outreach.
Pillar of Truth Church endeavors to make disciples of
all new converts by teaching all things Christ commanded and by exemplary
Christian living. One of our paramount goals is to find and train
many men with special calls on their lives to become future preachers
and leaders to go forth to plant new churches throughout Long Island
and in other regions of the world. Just as the early Acts Church "continued
stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking
of bread, and in prayers"(Acts 2:42) so Pillar of Truth shall
endeavors to do the same. Our emphasis shall be upon the Word of God,
prayer, heart felt worship, loving fellowship, evangelism, discipleship,
and ministering to the diverse needs of different ages, including
support groups for hurting people.
